I am having issues with my email server. Apparently when I tried to send an email it was bounced due to Spamhaus blocking the IP as exploited. This sucks and I am trying to figure out a solution. First, I need to figure out what is wrong on the server and see about either fixing it or just starting from scratch. I am planning a transition from an Ubuntu based server to a Gentoo based Server. So my research will need to include that.
Linode did manage to get me back to able to send email without an issue, but its still a concern to me. So as I work out what is needed for a Gentoo based email/office server I will look into better ways to secure and configure it to hopefully prevent easy intrusion. I am probably going to get it wrong, but the attempt is the most important part.
One thing I want to figure out as well is how to build Drupal themes from scratchish. One of the processes would be building bits and pieces so I can save theme for later and different projects. It’s not just Drupal I want to theme, and keeping things that could potentially be portable to different projects is an important thing.
Also, I had an idea for how to handle new articles being notified to the fediverse. I am still thinking on that.
I will get let you all know as I woork out more ideas and subjects to write about.
